Berrien 72 Hour Release Method
No separate rolling 72-hour release feed was found on the sheriff's inmate information route or the linked roster. OffenderIndex instead offers Current Inmates, Bookings Over Last 24 Hours, and Inmates by Booking Date. The last option is the local three-day workaround because it accepts start and stop dates and can include previous inmates.
The date tool searches booking episodes. It is not automatically a release list. Each row must be expanded to see whether Sentence or History contains a release date. A person may also have left Berrien custody through transfer, which is not release to the community.
Search Berrien Three-Day Releases
Build a range that covers all three calendar dates and enough extra time for an uncertain booking date. Leaving both date boxes blank can show all inmates, though the search may take longer.

Berrien Three-Day Record Fields
The result combines booking, case, sentence, and history facts. It may not display a single standardized release-reason label, so confirm any conclusion drawn from bond or sentence data.

A missing release time means the public interface did not supply one. It does not justify guessing. Request the custody record when exact timing matters.
Berrien Weekend Release Checks
A three-day range can capture Friday-to-Monday activity that a last-day view misses. The jail is listed as open 24 hours, and its lobby ATM is described as available at any time. Those facts do not establish a release schedule. They do show why a caller should use the jail channel instead of assuming all custody work stops when county administrative offices close.
Court and records staff may operate on business schedules even when the jail remains open. If the online row changes over a weekend, save the identifiers and follow up for the actual release record. Court records can explain a bond order, dismissal, sentence, probation order, or transfer commitment.
Berrien Release Fallback Chain
Start with Berrien County Jail at 500 County Farm Road, Nashville, Georgia 31639. Ask whether the person is still held, released, or transferred. When phone information is limited, submit an open-records request to the sheriff for the booking and release record, including the known name, date range, and inmate ID.
Use the Berrien court record for legal authority and disposition. Use Georgia VINE for future custody-change alerts. Use GDC Find an Offender only when the person entered Georgia state custody, and use federal BOP or ICE systems for those separate custody paths. A person absent from the county roster may still be confined elsewhere.

Why Berrien Records Disappear
The Current Inmates tab is a live-custody view. A person who leaves Berrien County Jail can drop off that view even though the booking episode remains searchable. Select the prior-inmate checkbox and expand History. That local feature is the key distinction between checking who is held now and reconstructing who left during a recent three-day span.
The 24-hour tab cannot replace this process because it lists bookings. Someone may appear there and remain jailed, or may be released after the feed first captured the booking. Match the release date rather than treating list presence as the answer.
Request Berrien Release Proof
A formal request can seek the jail or inmate ID, booking date and time, release date and time if maintained, status, charges, court, bond or sentence data, prior release history, and transfer destination or hold information when releasable. The Georgia Open Records Act governs access, but exemptions may protect some facts.
A court docket and jail record serve different roles. The jail record proves custody dates. The court record explains the order or case result. Reconcile both when a bond entry, sentence, or transfer makes the outcome unclear.
Expand Each Berrien Jail Match
The roster row is only a starting point. It may include name, booked status, physical descriptors, arrest date and time, days in jail, arresting officer, and total bond. Open the detail tabs. Charges can show the warrant, count, statute, description, offense type, and court. Sentence can provide a sentence and release date. History can list earlier arrest and release dates.
A three-day search may return more than one booking episode for a person with prior Berrien County Jail history. Match the inmate ID and arrest date before assigning a release date to the current event. A blank release date does not prove continued custody. The public record may not yet have updated, or staff may need to supply the information directly.
Leaving both date boxes blank broadens the booking-date search to all inmates. That option helps when “last 72 hours” describes when someone learned of the event rather than when it occurred. The interface warns that including previous inmates may take more time.
Separate Berrien Release Systems
A local jail sentence, GDC prison sentence, and federal sentence create different records. A Berrien detainee who posts bond may never enter GDC. A person committed on a felony can leave the county jail as a transfer and later appear in GDC. Federal or immigration transfers move the search to BOP or ICE.
If parole follows a state-prison term, the Parole Board handles the decision and DCS handles field supervision. The DCS Lakeland virtual office serves Berrien County. Its record may help verify supervision, but it does not prove the date someone departed the county jail. Georgia VINE is best for a future custody-change alert, not a full historical archive.
Make a Focused Berrien Request
A request should identify the full name, date of birth if known, approximate booking date, charge or court when known, and exact material sought. Useful items include the booking sheet, release date and reason, bond paperwork, and transfer record. The Georgia Open Records Act generally requires production within a reasonable time not exceeding three business days, or a description and timeline if records are not immediately available.
